Do u think Connecticut will be able to see the eclipse on Aug.1?

  1. You'll be able to see the partial.  To see the total eclipse, you'll have to go North to Canada.

    To see the partial, you'll need a solar filter for a scope, binoculars or even naked eye.

    You can use binoculars for eyepiece projection.  That's where you point the binocs at the Sun, and have the image from the eyepiece cast on a white piece of paper.  Use the shadow of the binocs to line it up.  Do not look at the Sun.

    There's an awesome eclipse in 2017.

    Your local astronomy club should have an eclipse event.


  2. No, only the northernmost part of Maine.  And even then it will just be a barely discernable slice of a partial eclipse.

  3. Northeast part of North America meaning way up in Canada. Remember North America is not just the US. Unfortunately we in the states wont be able to see it.
