  1. I'm an Englishman who has a loathing of the Welsh due to ignorant way they behave towards English fans.

However Wales has produced some of the best rugby players to have ever played the game and yes I agree JPR was definately one of the best, alongside Gareth Edwards and Barry John.

  2. JPR is the best full-back in EVERY respect.No-one else comes close.Gavin Hastings was excellent but JPR was in a class of his own.Same goes for Gareth Edwards and Barry John.

These three (in their prime) would get in to ANY team in the world today..even the mighty all-blacks.

  3. a

  4. this may sound corny coming from an english man but i think, jpr was the best rugby player in the world, and his name should be up there with pele and babe ruth. yes there are other good players, the likes of gavin hastings, but jpr played when rugby was man against man, these days its soft compared to then, remember when nearly all the players came off covered in blood? sadly those days are gone, along with the team spirit in the clubhouse afterwards, but some of us still fight to keep it going lol

  5. What about Gavin Hastings?

  6. Oh yeah!

  7. No

  8. No sorry - i think he was a rather over rated whining welsh man

they have had some great players however

pity about the current state of welsh rugby - dont seem to have recovered yet from the thrashing the All Blacks gave them

i will love to see the welsh contend for the 6 nations win

  9. No it was a draw....JPR and Gavin Hastings.
