I think people who are opposing the IPL are opposing the type of cricket played in it and it's commercialization and I don't think that will change in the EPL.

There are people who are always will be supporting EPL coz it's been there longer than people can remember...  I think in general some people are opposing IPL because of the truth that it started in India who a lot of people still considers as thrid world country, and the fact that it' may affect and spoling the real cricket game the test match.

I think that IPL is a bad thing for Cricket.  Not only it is overkilling Twenty20 but the danger is that in the long-term future it will corrupt the game with money.  The IPL has been in progress for about a few weeks now and reaches it's conclusion on 1st June (I think).  It is a 50-odd game league, the trouble is that a high-proportion of these games will be irrelevant as at this stage there only a few number of teams with a realistic chance of winning.  

I think the IPL as a whole has de-valued the attraction of Twenty20 Cricket.  I am a devoted Cricket follower but I lost interest with the IPL after the first day.  

I think the possible dangers of IPL is that could become the sole attraction of Cricket.  With so many stars turning their backs on their countries it raises questions as to what this will do for International Cricket.  For me it is a disappointment to see so many stars doing this, for me playing for your country should be the top of the pyramid.  

If there was to be an EPL it would populate the Cricket itinery with even more T20 Cricket.  Which would only mean an overkill of T20 therefore interest will be lost.  T20 was a great invention, if it was handled in the right way then it could over-take football as the no.1 world cport, but the money-grabbing fools have rushed in too quickly.  And as a result T20 will become less popular but what's more the game will be ruined by money.  The EPL and IPL will be influenced on who has the most money like the Premiership.

This is why I would oppose both IPL and EPL.
