yes, it is unique, and therefore makes it very entertaining. Its more for girls, so you'll really like it. it's different than the everyday "teenage drama" we see on tv, so yes, i've read them all and they are exceptional and my favourite books of all time =) i hope you enjoy them too!!

I really, really enjoyed them.  I'm 23 years old and I started reading them b/c a friend of mine (who's 36) suggested them.  I read all 4 in a very short period of time.  I didn't get into them b/c they're the popular thing.

I agree with what another poster said, I think some people don't like them b/c they thought they were getting an action vampire book.  Also, you have the lot of people who hate them just b/c they're popular and want to go against the crowd.  

Stephenie Meyer is more of a sensory writer than an action writer.  You can thoroughly envision her settings and characters...so much so that when I saw the behind-the-scenes footage from the movie, I shouted, "It's backwards!" when I saw the classroom set!  I had to remind myself that I'd only been seeing it in my head! (Bella's bed is backwards, too, from the way I saw it in my mind).

IT IS AMAZING!!!! I have been re-reading all the books for months, I just can't stop :D All my friends like it too.  Trust me, Twilight is not the best book out of the series, they just get better as it goes on.

The first book is not that bad, half of the second is trash, Eclipse is horrible and BD... I won't talk about it, it's like: LETS EAT TRASH! yay!

It keeps getting worst as you keep walking.

My sister liked it alot but it looks like it falls short.... If your looking for a good fantasy series read R.A salvatore's Dark elf books. If your into vampire's watch some vampire anime instead

The people that say it awful is because

a) They don't like love stories.

b) In the last book they thought there's be a lot of action, it was lovey dovey.

c) They love J.K Rowling.

My Opinion:

Me and my 2 bestfriends love the series they are obsessed with it. And so am I. To me it was amazing, its not a chick flick it really showed what true love was. Its a book you cant put down. But I mean if your a guy it probalby isnt your type of book. But if your a teenage girl then you might like it. :) I'm not really sure if I can say it was the best book I ever read but it definetly is one of them. Hope this helps.

i've read it and the bloody girl (Bella) does some of the most asinine things!!! i swear i wanted to strangle her on many occasions! I swear if i wasn't so greedy for a series book I would have stopped a long time ago.

It's absolutely horrid.

The plot is absolutely horrendous and the writing style is equally atrocious.  I've never understood why people have such an adoration for Stephenie Meyers and her vampire fetishes.  It's entirely overrated.

The only reason it has gotten so popular thus far is because the author toys with your mind to imagine the image of Edward Cullen as absolute perfection.  And, since nothing's better than our own fantasies, people fall for it, only to see how much more romantic the lead vampire can get by swooning over a human girl.  People don't love the book or the writing itself, they LOVE Edward Cullen.  It's like clean erotica for teens.

In a sense, people who read the series fall in love with the lead character.  And, with the love of a fictional character, people just want MORE and MORE.  Which leads you obsession, and hence why the novel swoons so many girls (and the occasional guy) over.  It has nothing to do over how well the plot is developed, or how amazing the writing is: it's just Edward Cullen, simply put.

I like to call it Twilight-osis.

one thing that bothers me is that there are like 4 pgs describing how the main character feels about her vampire boyfriend. Everything else is good but please...we dont need additional info on how "good" the guy looks! but the rest of the material makes the story good!
