  1. get ati amd works better with ati with nividia they got a few problems withthe drivers


  2. It depends on your resolution and graphics settings. Also some games need more CPU while others need more graphics card power. My 7600GT matches my AMD 4000 (single core) pretty well. I think the extra horsepower of the 8800gts wouldn't hurt - means you can raise the level of your graphics settings.
