Do u think a long distance relationship can work if u only knew them for a few weeks before it became an LDR?

I met me guy in studying abroad in costa rica. He was the one that pursued me at first emailing me and everything. We hungout at some clubs and made out afterwards. Then as the weeks went on i started to like him back. He kept telling me how much he liked me and didnt want me to have to go. We also ended up becoming intamit at one point. I am not sure bout where things stand exactly now that i am home. We have talked on MSN mesenger bc he is really bad at emailing people back. Right now he is in his finals week so he hasnt been able to talk to me that much, bc apparently i am a distraction! But what do u think can they work? U think that this one might work out for me? It is my first time talkin to someone that is that far away, but i am able to see him somewhat often bc my mom works for the airlines so i can fly there pretty much for free. I just am needing a little advice because my friends kinda think im stupid for thinking it can work. Thanks!

I believe anything is possible.  Be honest about the situation and try to communicate if you have any problem with the relationship.  Give it a try and  regardless of what happens- at least you gave it your all.
