Connectivity-wise, i'd say that the ONLY downside to the Xbox360 is due to having to pay to use the Xbox Network. In this particular instance the PS3 doesn't cost anything but the bandwidth of your pre existing internet/broadband connection to join it's own network(s).

There is no best answer as to whether which one is better than the other due to the pure fact that it's all a matter of opinion and you liking.

By far.

Xbox 360 has more quality games.

Only thing going good for Ps3 is that blu-ray beat out HD-DVD.

Xbox 360 with Microsoft backing it has much more opportunity to bring over playstation only games like they did with Grand Theft Auto, Final Fantasy XII, etc.

360 has best online interactions as well.

Unless the X-Box 360 you own is an Elite than no the X-Box 360 is not better than the play station 3!
