ok i'm going into highschool in 2 days and last year i think my grades definitely could've been better! last year i had alot of friends and i always found myself in some kind of drama and now i have like 2 friends left. Do you think being kinda withdrawn from those ppl will help me with raising my GPA? (i'm going for 4.0 or at least 3.9)

  1. Honestly, probably. Schoolwork > friends, at least in high school and at least with most friends.

Just, don't take it to an extreme & keep your priorities in check. That's honestly something I wish someone would've told me in highschool. There are only four years to raise your grades, hardly counting senior year since you mail out college apps at the very beginning. Don't slack off; don't procrastinate. Do your work and enjoy the results. Trust me, you won't regret it.

  2. you need to be social.  Just let your friends know that you have a plan and a goal and this is your last year and there is alot of styudying going to be happening.  you make the rules it is your life

  3. Of course! As long as you put that energy into doing your work! Less distractions = more you time

  4. I guess so.  But it could have the opposite affect.  Without having any social activity, your brain could crash from overload and lack of fun.  You need work and play, not just work.  It's great to care about your grades, but it's better to be well-rounded.

Trust me, I was there  :)

  5. You're only going to high school now? Jeez, bub. You look pretty old. Haha. Anyway, no i think you should have a mixture of both having fun and studying. Being anti social doesnt raise your grades at all; instead its actually proven to make it worse. It makes you think of all the fun other students are having and you feel left out. Trust me, ive been through that and it was torture.

  6. No, being anti social is actually bad for you, especially in high school, im a junior and just trust me its a bad idea
