  1. Complain complain, bi*ch bi*ch.  Oh my leg hurts so I cant face Joba (SISSY) got so old.  Takes himeself out of games, horrible attitude.  He finally got the red sox sick of him. He says they dont deserve him pshh. I honestly cant stand the guy and any red sox fan should feel the same way.  So they lose his bat but they gain on defense and dont lose as much as people think at the plate jason bay can be a 35 hr a year player but he played at PNC park which is not hitters friendly...im glad this is done im almost as sick as him as i am brett favre.

  2. No one knows the whole story it takes two to tangle and the Red Sox I guarantee were part of the problem!!!!! as was Manny!!!! it was the best thing for both we will love to have Manny here in LA for 2 months.

  3. The Red Sox don't need a headcase or a distraction. True, Manny did post Hall of Fame numbers and has a natural talent for baseball but he was still a major distraction. I think that Terry Francona's job as a manager will be much more easy to focus on and Theo Epstein will be be focused on his next deal as well (finding a shortstop). Manny's numbers have been in somewhat of a decline and not equal to that of any that deserve a 20 million dollar a year salary.

  4. yes.

  5. NO.

The trade wreaked of desperation by the Red Sox. Although Bay is good, he is not Manny. And it will take him a while to learn how to play the wall in left (something Manny has done as well as anyone could).

I wouldn't be as upset if we just gave up Manny, but we had to give up 2 good prospects as well?!?! Hansen I can part with as he is showing all signs of a bust of a great prospect since he can't throw strikes (although he has a nasty slider). But Moss is going to become a Bay-type player in the coming years and I wanted to see how good he could turn out to be.

  6. Yes and no they will never get that kind of bat again they split up the best 3-4 hitters in the game. The good is they were struggling lattly and manny has RELE been dogin it mabye that turn things around plus Bay is young and a godd player

also they can also get another big outfeilder in FA's

  7. Sometimes for the sake of your integrity you have to do something like this. Manny was being paid 20 million dollars a year to play baseball and still wasn't happy. What is the Red Six organization supposed to do; kiss his feet?? Hats off to Boston for getting rid of this nut job...........

  8. As a Yankee fan, I'm glad to see him gone. The true test, though, would be if I would want him in pinstripes. As much as that would burn Red Sox Nation, the answer is no. The team always comes first. Always.

I don't get why people are doubting Theo. He has been incredible to date. Don't forget Bay will now have Youk and Papi around him, and his numbers should improve greatly, because he will see more strikes.

Tampa Bay had the people to win 2 seasons ago. They are just now playing team ball. The Yanks have more All-Stars hurt or playing with injuries than they do healthy, but they're hanging in the race because Girardi has them playing team ball. Toronto is still in striking distance, despite an overrated lineup, because they are playing team baseball.

The Red Sox? With Manny gone, I think they'll become a juggernaut. I really do. Theo dropped an all-star to solidify a team.

  9. I think they were forced to trade Manny. He bat will be missed but his attitude will not.

  10. Yes because he was causing to much drama

  11. Yes, he's too much of a distraction.

  12. no.

the media as usual, always blows things way out of proportion.

and all the fans, who continuously say, oh he did this, he did that, his attitude this, his attitude taat, .....

were not there ,EVER. No one, knows what truly goes on behind closed doors, LEAST of all the fans. The media over does everything and anything to do with manny and other players.  The bottom line , is yeah, manny made errors, ...like ALL players do. Yeah, his attitude some times stunk...BUT he performed on the field, played the wall, hit the ball, BETTER than most players, so i dont care if he was a serial killer off the field for godsake, HE DID THE JOB AND HE DID IT WELL.

Look at those idiots,  ..on the news who said..."oh we're gonna follow new york now".........Those people are not true fans, of the sox or the game itself.

and by the way, its MANNY, not "Many", lol...

  13. Absolutely.  Brilliant move by Theo.  Manny would have dragged them down in the pennant race.  He's only in it for the money.

  14. yes but i wish he left gracefully.  i will miss his bat, leaving in the middle of an inning to take a p**s in the green monster.  i will not miss his fake injuries against good pitchers.  "The Red Sox don't deserve me"

  15. It's hard to say that yes, you want to dump a first ballot HOFer and two prospects AND pay that salary for another team to just get ONE player in return, but I remember '04 thinking that Theo had lost his mind giving up the franchise player Nomar and look what happened... the Red Sox won a WS after an 86 year drought.
