  1. No, yes we know they have the same team just add Hossa and Conklin but the Ducks had the same team last season just added Schnieder, Bertuzzi and Weight but the nhl changes man teams  get better big trades happen so no

  2. It's really tough to repeat.  You have to be one heck of a hockey team to pull it off.  I don't even remember who the last team to do it was.

  3. Personally  i dont like the wings...but even i have to admit that wings are going to be crazy cause they didnt loose any players and they got hossa. so ya detroit has a good chance at the cup, cause after all thats why hossa went to detroit we wanted to be a cup contender.

  4. No.... I think they have great players but in spite of Osgood's performance this year... I think they are weak in goal.  I don't expect their defense to be as good as they were this year.

  5. there is a 50/50 chance that they are going to win. the other 50 % goes to tampa bay....man they revolutionized their roster

  6. I really do.  They barely lost anyone and gained one great player with the name Marian Hossa...so they already had the Stanley Cup and then got stronger...so yes

  7. No

  8. i sure hope not, but its kinda obvious that thye will win the western conference championshipo

  9. scifi the last team to ever do it was the wings.

  10. it's very possible  They have become quite the juggernaut.

  11. Russtik knows his stuff lol but yea they have to they were the best team and added one of the elite players in the nhl and as long as osgood does good its a repeat

  12. I think that they have put themselves into a really good place to win it again. They have made their offense even more lethal and have kept their championship defense together. I think that they have the best chance to win it next season.

  13. definitely they pretty much have the same roster as they do last year and have signed an amazing player marian hossa who can only help make the team better but they did lose there assistant coach to san jose but that wont affect the team that much. RED WINGS VS. FLYERS STANLEY CUP FINALS RED WINGS WIN IN 7

  14. No but I believe detroit will still go deep.  I see an anaheim or san jose coming out of the west to play the Penguins.  And whichever team it is between the two I look forward to that matchup.  A long shot would be a colorado or minnesota and if that happened I would welcome that as well.

  15. Everytime this question is asked i tell them and ill tell you. They will win if they have the hunger for the cup and the will. If they don`t have it they won`t win. It doesn`t take a couple signings to win the cup it takes team work the will and the hunger. I am a redwings fan but if they don`t have it they won`t. If they do they will win

  16. It's very tough to repeat, but with the talent they have, I'm not ruling it out.

They will dominate the regular season again this year, especially considering the new schedule which heavily favors the Wings.

There is about a 99.9999999% chance that they will make the playoffs, and considering their playoff success this year, there is no way you can count them out of the Western Finals at least.

I'm giving them 4:1 odds of winning the cup again.

  17. Most likely because all their important tools are coming back and also the addition of Marian Hossa

  18. No they won't.

  19. Nope, Montreal or Colorado will.

  20. They could win the cup, or they could get swept in the 1st round.  Both have happened in recent history.  They were a great team too in 2003 when they were swept.  They completely outplayed Anaheim but were shutdown by some relatively unknown goalie at the time named Giguere.  Just because you are a great team doesnt mean your going to win.  Great teams lose all the time.

  21. Yes. they lost nothing and gained some more. And why do people think they are old?!?!? I don't understand it! They have like three players that play that are a little old, but in general, they are a young team! If they were so old, why didn't they get tired in the playoffs this year? They played the most hockey out of anybody.

  22. They most likely wont because they are just getting to old and unless they get an unbeleivable amount of young amazing players next year they wont win the stanley cup next year.

  23. No Way!  Hossa will poison that locker room just enough to make sure they DO NOT repeat...Plus, you will not see any finalist repeats any more in this era of the NHL....

  24. Top to bottom, they remain the strongest team still, so they will at least be in that final four.

  25. 100% YESS!!!!!! BECAUSE THEIR AMAZZZING!

    don cherry even said so!

    LETS GO REDWINGS!!!!!!!!

  26. They won it last year because they were probably the best team the NHL has seen since the lock-out, and since they didn't really loose anyone, and they added Hossa I really don't see why they wouldn't.

  27. I think they will be, and deserve to be, the odds-on favourite!

I'm not a Red Wings fan but I respect what their management has done with that team!  They lose their "heart and soul" in Yzerman to retirement, and yet they continue to roll!  Lidstrom, Zets, Homstrom, Dats, and now Hossa... that's the best nucleus in the NHL by a Detroit mile!  ;-)

  28. I think they have the best chance compared to the rest of the field.

unknownkid: One question  about Tampa Bay: Who is playing defense for that team?

  29. I think that they have a very legitimate chance at another Stanley Cup victory. There are a few more teams that are showing big talent this year that they will have to watch for, such as San Jose, Dallas, New Jersey, and Montreal. This will make it harder for them to win but they definitely have the players to win it and the coaching staff. They will definitely go far in the playoffs unless some random 8 seed (Edmonton 2006) miraculously knocks them out early!
