  1. You are in the same position as my friends with science- They either got CC or BC and really really want to do science. One or two are just choosing other subjects and others are going to a college that will allow them to take the sciences rather than the college that they really want to go to. However with a D in maths that gives you even more of a disadvantage with physics. If the school will allow you and you really want to do a science subject you should maybe go for biology(even though some maths is required) or you could just retake. It may seem like the last thing you want to do but one year is nothing in comparison to the rest or your life and the benefits you will reap. I wish you all the best for the future. Keep believing and work hard because in the end you will succeed.

  2. You may well be available but I very much doubt that you will be able to cope with A level physics. Your grades just aren't good enough. Sorry.

  3. It will depend on what else your doing

  4. very doubtful. You absolutely need to be OK with maths including algebra and calculus.  You are unlikely to be allowed to do A physics unless you make a special effort to get up to speed in  maths very quickly, with a private tutor for example.

  5. I don't think so.....A level Physics calls for a good knowledge of maths. As you only managed a D you can't have been sitting the top tier paper. Have you ever heard of the sine rule, cos rule, surds?? You would probably find A level Physics too daunting. Why not pick a subject that you got an A in GCSE...or at least a B?

  6. Erm. A-level physics is very tricky...

With a lot of mechanics involved, so maths comes in handy...

In my school, you usually need at least a B in the subject you want before you can do it.

Try asking a teacher when you get to school.
