The song 'Take a Bow' is about a girl who is kicking her boyfriend out of her place because she found out he cheated on her. There are many references to acting throughout the song.

In the beginning, the boy is standing outside of her house crying and apologizing, which demonstrates that the house is hers and he's upset that the relationship is ending.  She, however, is not sorry and sings that he 'looks so dumb' and is ugly when he cries.

The chorus starts with her telling him 'you're only sorry you got caught', which proves that she knows he was the one at fault. Using references to acting ('you put on quite a show', 'curtain's finally closing', 'go on a take a bow'), she lets him (and us) know that the relationship is completely over.
