  1. "Btw if a person calls himself, say Christian, and still doubts about God, that person is in reality not a Christian anymore. "

That is not my understanding.  To believe means "to hold as true".  It does not mean to accept as proven.  We hold beliefs in order to reach some goal.  For example, I have to cross a bridge in order to go to work (which is my goal).  I hold a belief that the bridge will not collapse.  Crossing the bridge is an act of faith in my belief.  But I still have doubts.  Faith is rationally considering the doubts but then setting the doubt aside.

The goal of the Christian is to seek the love of our Creator and to come to know/experience Him and to be with Him.  In order to honestly seek Him, we have to "hold as true" that He exists.

  2. nope.

  3. People will always believe what they want to believe. Nothing can change that. Existence is not limited to tangible things. Ideas exist also and beliefs exist. So the idea of God and peoples' belief in God certainly do exist.

  4. God cannot be proved - if there was irrefutable evidence that God existed, then everyone would know that God existed. Notice that I said know instead of believe - one of the core concepts of Christianity is faith, so a Christian is said to BELIEVE in God.

God wouldn't make it so that He could be proved - He requires faith, as believing in Him is loving Him; if you knew He existed, you wouldn't necessarily love Him.

Also, being a 'hardcore agnostic' is sort of an oxymoron - an agnostic can be thought of the 'middle-ground' between atheism and religion, so is a more mild form of either. You can be a hardcore atheist, however. Also for your knowledge, I'm an agnostic.

  5. Not likely man... I dont' know what else science and technology could do to show "God" existed... By God I mean an , omniscient, omnipotent,  being (can think, act, design etc) that created the Universe, taking into account our universe is not a computer simulation, even then the creators of it would not be God by my definition. There is no conceivable experiment to do, I have thought about this and researched it. If God does exist the only way we could know based on our current and any future level of technology is if "God" showed us his/her/it existence in a way we could not deny... Maybe God will only show their self if we reach a certain point of technology... but this would not make sense.. ... Not at all likely there is a God... I am an Atheist by my following definitions...  I feel there is a 99.5% chance god does not exist (this of course does not mean God does not exist, its just how I feel (Based on what I know, experienced, makes sense to me, my general uncontrollable emotions)

Atheism = Feel 95% + Sure God does not exist, and Can change mind if evidence (logical or scientific) comes about

Agnostic = Feel 5 - 94 % sure God does not exist, and Can change mind if evidence (logical or scientific) comes about.

Believer = Ignorant and or emotionally troubled (cant' live without the comfort of some imaginary being and or likes to trick themselves into believing just so it does not mess up their personal relationships, because they enjoy going to church with people and the social benefits of the religious group, and dont' want to make people think they are immoral which a lot of people think non believers are)

  6. I am quite sure that there will never be any proof that any god exists, because they do not. There is plenty of proof that gods do not exist, if you know where to look. You sound as hateful and close-minded as a religious person. How is being an agnostic more logical than being an atheist? No, do not tell me such drivel! What makes you an expert on logic, anyhow? You are like the religious people who say only they are smart, logical, or whatever. Only you believe this. Beliefs are ideas accepted as true with no proof. An agnostic is like a man who cannot be sure what the weather is going to be, so he takes a winter coat, a raincoat and a T-shirt, etc. and has so much stuff he cannot move with it...or he is so paralyzed with indecision that he just stays home and has no job. It is logical to think carefully about all available evidence and go along with what is best on that basis. I did that and became an atheist. I am active, not paralyzed with indecision and cowardice. How can it be logical to have no opinion about an important matter?
