Nadal's draw has Karlovic, Blake, Ferrer, Berdych and Murray (Murray is potential semis opponent) while Djoko has Tsonga, ROddick and Fed (Fed is potential semis opponent). On Fed draw - he's burden to semis will likely be Davydenko. What do u think?

  1. You're having a laugh.

Nadal has Karlovic OR Berdych, Ferrer OR Murray, and Blake. The way you put it was biast- made it look like he had to play all of those guys when he only has to play 3.

Djokovic may have Tsonga maybe Roddick in the quaters. But I doubt it.

Federer won't have Davydenko, take a look at his last tounrys- hes sucked, wont be making it to quaters. Gasquets the better bet. Feds got Stephanek third round, thats it as far as difficulty goes.

So from what I can see they all have easy draws- seriously, theres nothing any fan can complain about. If you're worrying about the number 9 and 16 seeds then you don't have much faith in your player.

Seriously, what more do you expect - no seeds??? Don't be a whinger.

  2. I think that Federer's potential matchup against Davydenko isn't too much for Federer to worry about, as long as he's playing like his normal self, which we haven't seen in a while.  But since the betting scandal, Davydenko hasn't been playing too well either. That's a pretty tough draw for Nadal too, considering he has to play Blake, Ferrer, and Murray, (who beat him in the Cincinnati Masters I believe). Djokovic should be able to beat Tsonga, and Roddick won't be a problem for him. (Roddick really isn't a problem for any top 10 players nowadays).

I would have to look at the draw a bit more, but in the way that you described it, I think that Federer can do pretty well, as long as he plays like his normal self.  I want Federer to win, but I think that Djokovic will end up winning, and Nadal will be upset by Murray.

  3. Federer's draws are usually easier than Nadal's or Djokovic's. I think you are right about the potential semifinal opponents.

  4. yeah he got it easy

  5. Well it would seem that way because Rafa has to likely meet allot of really solid players who will probably be quite tough. I looked at Federer's half and he's got allot of good players like Davydenko, Haas, Stepanek and Tursunov but these guys haven't been really playing exceptionally, particularly Davydenko who is perhaps a decent player but it really streaky. Really there is nobody he really has to worry about as long as he stay on top of his game. If Federer is just that Federer and he's confident, solid, and keeps the errors down he will easily get to the finals.

  6. it would seem like federer had an easy draw but with the way he's been playing in singles recently, an unseeded player can cause a federer upset.  who knows?

or he could go the other way and breeze through the finals without so much effort.

it doesnt matter who federer plays in his draw.  the only player who can beat federer is federer himself.  meaning he has to find his rhythm back.  get confident again.  afterall, he's got the right tools to beat a davydenko or a gasquet.

not sure tho if he's still got what it takes to win against nadal.  federer may have to lose again.

  7. Yeah, Federer definitely got the easiest draw of the tree. Nadal's road to the finals will be tough, but I think he'll make it through. It will be interesting to see the Tsonga v. Djokovic match...maybe Tsonga will get his revenge.
