  1. I have seen evidence of that. Parental pressure means that the parent(s) are taking an active role in their children's education and the children have to meet their parents' standards. This can backfire though if they go overboard. I think you can put pressure on students but it has to be in a sensible way for the student to be successful and not rebel or get sick. Ability plays a large role too. If you have a student with a learning disability or other disability that affects learning then parental pressure could make learning more difficult because the pressure might be too great for the student to reasonably handle.

  2. not all the time. usually successful students get the grades they get because they want to and they push themselves. basically the child has to want it for themselves. in some situations the child does better because of parental pressure but not all the time. the parent can encourage the student when getting good grades which may make the student want good grades more often which can lead to a successful student.

  3. No, my parents pressure me but I choose to ignore it so I can make the grades for ME and focus. I go to school so I can learn and become succesfull in the future WITHOUT them. Besides, in the future, will I be going to work to make them money? No. (I'll be sending them money because I'm a nice girl but..). It's so that I can live.

But most kids are pressured. I answer yes to that one. But that's just my story.
