Depending on which scientist's opinion you listen to, man has 30,000 - 50,000 years.

Dinosaurs lived here for 165,000,000 - 300,000,000 years.

The point being, in the overall scheme of things, we have been here just a short while.

So sure, the earth will still be here 10s of millions of years from now, but people may not be.

Who knows what creatures will rule the world then.  Likely as not, it will be something far different than anything we have known so far.
