Saddam gave the answer, totally  ignoring the UN for a number of years,they were full aware of the atrocities that idiot inflicted upon -his own people- and they did squat

I'll be kind and say...they have lost much respect in this country.  All of it jusified.

Yeah , it is pretty worthless. They have good intentions, but little action. They just talk about problems and dont find solutions.

I would think that if it weren't so serious.  Pathetic is a better word in my opinion.

I think it's a great organization.  I believe that the current American administration's disdain for the organization has much to do with how it has been negatively viewed.

It is a joke that we support 22% of the UN's annual budget and yet it does not support the US in any action we take.  The UN is a corrupt organization that is largely impotent in achieving any of its stated goals.
