Do u think the only reason why "chris foster the millionaire" has so much publicity cause he's white and rich?

"Christopher Foster the multi millionaire" " missing multi millionaire" "arson millionaires mansion" That's all i see and hear at the moment, there are a billion worse things going on in the world, why focus and this.

Awhile back a millionaires wife was stabbed while walking her child she did not die but this made national news while on the same day a girls body was found chopped into pieces but just about made the local paper. I'm so sick of this S*£t someone help me out here

Yes, there is publicity and loads of it. I agree.

But, he being white & rich isn't in the bigger picture.

The bigger picture is that 3 people may died, one being a 15 year old girl with the rest of her life to live. Same with himself & wife.

I personally think your very insensitive, if its you and your own family. You wouldn't be saying there is so much publicity because your white and rich.

Can't you imagine what their family & friends are going through?

Their pets were shot and killed and left in pools of blood around their home. The front door was barricaded, the house was set on fire and the whole family are missing - we don't know if they're alive or dead and we don't know who is responsible for this terrible crime or how it came about.

Do YOU think the relevant issue here is that the family were WHITE?

OK, the estate is large, but, c'mon, how many instances of totally burned out houses, with killed animals, destroyed vehicles and missing people would NOT make the news?

I suspect, not one.

Today, a woman in Manchester had a firework put through her letter box, which resulted in her being admitted to hospital (but OK), and her house being damaged. That was reported in the national news.

That alone suggests your bias is misguided.

It's nothing to do with the family being white or rich. It's got so much publicity because, at the moment, it is a very strange incident. I don't recall ever hearing another story like this, where a huge house had been barricaded from the inside and set alight, whilst all the animals had reportedly been shot dead. Meanwhile, there is no trace of the family...though I suspect they will find their bodies in there, and unfortunately, I also believe the most likely outcome is that Chris Foster himself killed his family before setting the property alight and killing himself. It's a horrifying story, and it's certainly got my attention because - right now - it is a mystery. The reason there has been so much talk of Mr Foster's wealth is because police believe his business and state of finances have played a massive part in what has happened here. I think the most popular theory is that he was in serious financial difficulty.

This will be a tragedy in every sense of the word if that family is found in there - but no more tragic than the girl whose body was found chopped up. It's not a case of it being more important, it's simply taking up news time because no one knows the full extent of what has happened yet - which happens with all stories. When it has all been resolved, I'm sure we'll see less of it.

Personally, it's got my full attention right now and I feel very sad at the thought of an entire family being wiped out because of their financial situation. If anything, it goes to show that no one is without their problems - even millionaires.

There is a level of vicarious schadenfreud involved; people love to read about rich, successful folk failing.

Take the Maddie case, for example; sad as it was, it would never had become such an international cause-celebre had it not been for the fact that she was blonde and photogenic, and the parents were rich, white, and educated.

I live less than 2 miles from Osbaston House in a similar sort of house and believe me, if YOU think the news is driving you mad imagine what all the libelous speculation is doing to all those people that knew the family.
