I agree with the second person to comment. I think people are brilliant in certain areas and not so much in others. You can't be good and know everything about everything. That is impossible.

I think ppl are genuinely brilliant in ways...each person has a gift, sometimes ya just got to give them time to shine. Learn as ya live.

God, yes. But not at everything ... when someone is good at something, they are so modest and very very accurate. But only regarding their own experience. They're just as lazy as the rest of us when it comes to figuring out things they don't have much interest in!
