I think that the fight will eventually happen, just not for a little while.  Pacquiao is fighting David Diaz at lightweight in June, and there have been rumors that Marquez may fight Nate Campbell in the meanwhile.  I think that Pacquiao is safe as far as Diaz goes, but with Marquez, I'm not so sure if he really should take a fight with Campbell.  That is a WAY more dangerous fight for him and he quite possibly could lose, which would jeopardize a third fight with Pacquiao.  Remember that the Campbell fight is only being speculated, but if Marquez takes it, he deserves a lot of credit for taking that big of a risk.  When its all said and done, I think that they will eventually have a third fight because neither has really proved superiority over the other- yes Pacquiao did win the rematch, but it was very close and could have gone either way, and the first fight ended in a draw in another fight that could have gone either way.  Marquez has stated that he would move up to any weight to get in the ring with Pacquiao again, so as long as Pacquiao beats Diaz, and Marquez really does move up, then I think that we will see a third fight down the road, but you never know in boxing...

Manny had initially said "no" while standing in the ring immediately after their last fight.  He, Roach, Arum and everyone else have since said "yes" -- and that it would not be another long period before it happens (like the first time that took 4 years).  

I don't think there's any question that it will happen.  Neither fighter (but particularly the older Marquez) can afford to put if off for long.  I think it will happen next year, and that the pressure would be to make it within the first few months of the year.
