Question:

Do u think this will help the views of "AM I UGLY"?

I said this and believe it to be true:

Nobody at all, is 'ugly'. Us humans made up the word 'ugly' to describe someone we see features we "don't like". But nobody is destined to be alone so referring to attracting the opposite gender, someone will find that person and their features attractive. Its magic, just like love!

Just because we don't like how they 'look' , it doesn't give us any right at all to label them 'ugly'. In fact, people who think so, and use the word, are 'ugly' on the inside. They are not beautiful as a person. So if you change your view to this one, beauty will shine in you and show on the outside no matter how you "look".

If you seem not to care about your outside "look", people around you wont care either. Its amazing how people would worry less about what people "think of them" if they realized how seldom people do think about them!

Always remember that my friend. :)

What do you think?

  1. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (((((((HUG))))))) I think that was perfect, beautifully said! I agree 100%. Yes, nobody's ugly, and if they say other people are, than their ugly inside! THANKS!!!!! (YAY!)

  2. What you are suggesting is that not everyone is shallow, and only basing their impressions on appearances, unfortunately, this is not true, and in REAL life, society DOES make judgements based on appearances.  It is a FACT that better looking people get the better jobs, get the more desirable partner, get the better financial deal etc.

Research has shown that we, as humans, find particular visual traits as attractive, and some as unattractive.  These are universal preferences.  We are not necessarily told whot looks beautiful, who does not, but we pick that up by ourselves.

Of course, if you, personally, are not concerned with the fact that you have a bad haircut, pimples, daggy clothes, then you will portray confidence in yourself, and THAT  is what other people find attractive, but that requires you to have the ability to see yourself as having other desirable characteristics that make up for your physical unattractiveness.

Regarding your statement that every person will find someone who believes that they are attractive; that might only work if we accept that THIS  is our social ranking, and we can only hope to attract people who are of the same status, and that, I am afraid, is NOT human nature, we all strive to better ourselves and what we have.

And the fact is, that if you do not know a person, then you can only judge that person on their looks, their clothes, etc, because that is all that is available to us for assessment.

  3. i think ugly comes in and out of fashion to create a system of commodity exchange.

  4. I think you've made a lengthy statement without a question.

  5. I completely agree with you 100%. =]

  6. Well, it's fine to understand that 'ugly' like 'beauty' is in the eye of the beholder.

But it's kind of silly to imagine it means nothing.

I get that teenagers tend to exaggerate their flaws & a little confidence goes a long way in making yourself more attractive.

But your view sounds like denial.  Roseanne Barr is no Angelina Jolie.  Oprah Winfrey is no Halle Berry.   Sean Penn is no Brad Pitt.

So yeah, don't beat yourself up because you aren't gorgeous.  But don't get stupid & imagine that beautiful & ugly don't mean anything.  They do.

People make these judgments all the time.  And the PC silliness of saying 'you don't have the right to label'  doesn't change a d**n thing.

Society defers to the cute.  Angelina Jolie might date Billy Bob Thorton, but I guarantee Randy Quaid isn't on the list.

  7. I think that people pick and choose what they believe is ugly to one girl a guy might be ugly but to another they might think he's cute people these days are way to hung on looks instead of the person I had this guy friend who had the hottest girlfriend in the world to him and he was only with her because her looks and popularity even though she was a real *****. Yes but people will still go for looks it's a sad world.

  8. Yes I do. It's a shame people can't see to get into this mindset. Instead they make gods out of stars and try to be like them.
