  1. as long as you have what you want.

  2. No! although sometimes you might wish you got payed for it. It has to be done with love weather you work and take care of your family chores; or you just care for your family. unless your not talking about being a stay at home housemom/wife

If you work and if there's a he/she that works, you should both pitch in equally on the house work and taking care of the family.

  3. I think being a stay at home parent is a job that you couldn't pay people enough for. It's priceless. Though it would be great if there was some kind of wage for it. People get assistance if they use child care, why can't people who don't use it be rewarded?

  4. There is a price, for us stay at homes its about $1 million over our life time in financial terms that we give up in our own salary.  To replace our work with hired help it's $138,000/year!  For myself I don't work because if I were to work I'd have the work I have right now plus 8+ hours a day of work out of the home, so for me it's not worth it since I would never have down time.

  5. I has,

you run the house as you want and head,

as bond between all the members and acting as nucleus.

You only get acclaims for running the house well.

  6. Well NO as thats what needs to be done. yes its a full time job in itself....but I work full time to make my money, then come home and take care of 2 kids, cook, clean, do everything else for my family, all while pregnant.

not all people get "assistance" for childcare....I pay full time childcare for my 2, soon to be 3 out of my own pocket.

  7. If it did, I wouldn't be at a full time job now. I'd be rich!!

  8. I sure think so.I also think that women/men  who are fulltime caregivers and homemakers all their lives should be entitled to pensions the same way people who work outside the home for salary should be. Anyone be it man or woman who stays home and raises the kids and cares for the house is doing the most important job in the world in my opinion. The best thing you can  do in life is to raise a decent human being and  it sure isn't as easy as it once was. These people deserve a medal!!
