Question:

Do u throw away ur junk mail with ur details (ie name&address on it) still on it or do u shred them 1st?

is it ok to just throw away stuff with ur name & address on it if it has nothing like account details on it or anything, maybe just junk mail from a real estate agency with ur name & address on it? or do u have to shred it first for security before binning it? thanks

  1. we always  shred  every  thing  with our name and address

    on,  you never know  better  safe  then sorry.


  2. Shredding is the best way to go. I not only shred, but them thoroughly mix the shredded materials and split them up so they are not all in the same trash container.

    We have a chiminea and WHEN there is not a burning ban in our area, we use the shredded material as starter.  We DO NOT burn glossy, colored paper at any time.

  8. My husband is a nut when it comes to protecting our identies and he shreds everything then uses it in his garden compost pile. But more times than not he just writes "return to sender" on the original envelope as a way of protest and slows them down.

  10. i put them back in the post with return to sender written on them this way they have to pay to get them back again, you will find they soon stop sending them lol
