Like buying anything online there is a risk you may not get your goods, or it may be defective, if you pay with a credit card, this reduces the risk, because any problems your credit card company will fight on your behalf

It depends.  You have to look at the feedback of the person you want to buy from.  If they have a good rating then it usually is not a bad thing at all.

I've done alot of business on ebay, and I love it! You can find so many cool things that you couldnt find anywhere else for great prices. Theres one thing you should be really careful of tho, if you going to use your credit card with paypal, there is a chance that you could have some ID theft. We got several things before it ever happened, and if you were planning on using paypal I would say just set up a firewall on your computer, or do it from a place that has computers with secure connections. Chances are that you'll probably be just fine tho, so with all the success that ive had from ebay, id say just go for it!

As far as the site itself, No..  I don't. only because when I tried to sell an item on there, they charged me to post it, but yet they never posted it, so I never paid them   a big $5.00..  but you would t hink with a company as big as they are would post it for the $5.00.  but nope.   so I don't like them they email me everyday for their 5.00 and they never even put my stuff for sale.  A company like that don't deserve my good credit.. nope

Depends on what you order off of it. I've had pretty decent luck though, but I've never seen the adoption auction section. Not sure I'd want to order a kid off of ebay. I did, how ever, order a husband off of Yahoo! Personals. We met five years ago, going on 4 years married.

i trust it but not fully! like everyone has already told you look at the other persons feedback b4 you purchase anything.  feed back is like a reputation the better the percent the better your rep

I believe that it is not EBAY that you need to be worried about but the people you are buying the products from.  When purchasing anything, you should always check the history of the seller by looking at what other people have said and how they rate the seller.

if you insist on buying on ebay, ALWAYS

pay through PAYPAL and fund it with a CREDIT CARD.

then if anything goes wrong and PAYPAL can't get you a refund, you then have the option of filing for a CHARGEBACK through your CC provider.

yes....ebay is fine its the sellers you have to be select about. look at their feedback see how much they have sold see how long they have been a member...the more the better the less then you are taking a chance, but remember even if they are new everyone has to start somewhere. I use ebay A LOT and ive never had a problem
