Do u volunteer for anything?

i think its great that ppl volunteer. i volunteer for PAWS (an animal shelter), kitty cottage (a cat rescue center), the democratic comitee, and im looking for maybe one more hting thats not too hard. what do u guys do? ill get some ideas from u

I work mainly for habitat in New Orleans and the gulf....but I also volunteer at my animal shelter...during the summer months I go to Ghana or S Africa to dig wells or teach school and build houses....very rewarding work. good luck!

I've done a lot of volunteering. One of my favourites was at a soup kitchen serving meals. It was so much fun and the people who we were serving are amazing. They have such interesting stories.

Another thing I really enjoy is working on committees, like for Oxfam or Amnesty International. I do a few hours a week and we brainstorm, plan events, etc.

Did you know that the average homeless person in the nUS is a 6yr old child which means that half the homeless ppl in America are kids under 6.   To me that is a need we have to meet.  

In our area 1 in 8 senior citiszens and 1 in 6 kids does not have enough to eat to stay healthy according to the US dept of Agriculture.  You can find the info on that for your area at www.secondharvest.org.

Yup, I clean my school's campus grounds and I'm in a club that focus' on ways to help people in the community.

How much time do you have left for volunteeing?  I would absolutely see if you are able to do some tutoring for kids.  Depending on your age and past, if you are able, I would highly recommend junior high students.  Being helpful and comedic really helps with these kids self esteem and confidence, just knowing someone cares.  Play a game of basketball, throw a football, anything helps.  I hope i have given you some good advice.  Also, please, lets not forget the children in the hospital who would love a good laugh!
