Do uk police stations have bullet proof windows?

I know that some do, but would small towns have them, or old buildings?

  1. No I don't think so as I recently saw a well known double glazing company fitting windows to a Police station and they dropped the glass and it broke.

  5. No, on  rare occasions some have laminated or even plastic windows, but never bullet-proof.

    One force control room in the north of England was once said to be bombproof, until it was pointed out that, due to it's design, the windows had to be bonded in place, the bonding turned out to  be the same as that used in fish tanks, this totally cancelled out it's armour.

    It was known within the force as the bombproof fish tank!

    They dun even carry guns with them on duty.

    But they are cops that i respect.
