Do ultra sonic pest repellents work?

I have done everything I can think of to to keep spiders out of the house. I am cleaning and keeping things off floors, we don't open our windows or leave doors open. I haven't found any cracks that go through to the outside. But I'm still finding spiders occasionally. I know (I really do!) that they kill flies and stuff but I just don't want them. Plus, two were brown recluses and I'm terrified of my children being bitten! Will this stop them? AND if our house is 2600 sq ft but is a tri-level then do I need one for each level or will one cover the whole house if put on the middle level (as it says it covers 3500 sq ft)?

No they are a big scam.  Don't be fooled.

No, they certainly do NOT work... I bought some that were supossed to repel insects and rodents... The mouse crapped right next to the darn thing...
