Do underwriters charge a fee?

I haven't made an offers on any properties so far, but my lender suggest that I should send her all of my income stubs and bank statements to her underwriter so I can get an approval. Does anyone if I will be charged a fee to get an underwriter's approval? Thanks!

Ask your lender.

There are no federal regulations about underwriter fees.  Each company would decide on it's own.

I do not think they should charge you, but they might.
