Do united planes have television sets in every seat???

Some may, but like most airlines, United flys a number of different type of planes, and the equipment varies.  The type of TV's you describe are normally only found on newer aircraft used for long distance flights.  

   Chances are your flight will not, but an accurate answer is only possible if you provide the type of plane, not the airline that flies it.

they are probably only on wide bodied aircraft such as the 777 or 747 but others may have it Delta has them on all 777 most 767 and select 757 have a good flight

United has TVs in every first class and business class seat on B747's and B777.  The rest of the seats and aircraft are pretty much general viewing screens.
