Do universities dislike it when you are on a after-school team 9th-11th grade but not 12th?

I have been on the Drill Team/Color-guard at my high school since the 9th grade. We've always won sweepstakes or placed well at competitions that take place in Southern California.

I heard that universities like students who are well-rounded and involved in extracurricular activies. I also heard they look for consistency, but this year it feels overwhelming for me..

I have practice every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6th period to 5, and 6 o'clock on Wednesdays..

Fridays I have football games to attend, and on Saturdays I get home very late because of competitions (allll day).

And to top it all off, I found out that my English class is going to be very tough, and I am taking AP Econ and AP Calc.

Would it be okay to quit my extracurricular activity after 3 years? What if the colleges think senioritis kicked in? I don't want any colleges to deny me because I didn't stay with it another year (lol).

In addition, I do community service at a hospital, am a member of a youth orchestra outside of school, now joined the yearbook committee.. Would these other activities help me instead??

What should I do!!?! T_T please help me

If it helps, I would like to get into a good UC..

and sorry it's so long :P

  1. If you have other extra cirricular activities, those are just as good as the drill team - just make sure you put them on the application.  Community service, youth orchestra and yearbook are all great alternatives, and honesly probably show a more well rounded person then color guard (I was in that too, so I'm not knocking it).  Especially the orchestra and the community service.  Changing extra activities and not just dropping them altogether shows you are maturing and finding different likes and dislikes.  Don't worry about it - you sould pretty well rounded.
