Do university league tables really mean alot?

i'm thinking of trying to go through clearing to sheffield for law, and im so scared, because law is competitive and on the ratings its coming up a 40 in the table, im not sure what to do? do league tables show how law firms will look at my degree??

  1. No tables are bad. Way too much is put on student surveys which are biased and unreliable.


  2. Law firms undoubtedly will take a good degree into consideration but remember you will also have to spend 12 months at law school and the results attained from those exams will also count.

    yes - obviously, the higher the uni the better it is

    BUT

    no - each law firm will have its own preferences, which may not agree with the league tables

    best thing to do is to study hard and get into your first choice!
