my ex husband is changing our kids health insurance from his insurance that costs 1000 a month to his new wife's who is a ups driver. i last new that the drivers pay nothing for insurance. and if this is true will it affect my child support because his income is based off of what he pays for insurance and now that he wont pay a dime that will add up to 12 more thousand dollars in income a year for him. will my support be adjusted to my favor because of this change?

  1. Yes, they do.

Last I heard, drivers DO pay towards their own coverage, also.

The support judge makes the ruling on the support being affected.

  2. I can tell you for sure that UPS drivers do not pay a dime for their insurance. As far as the child support its iffy. Simply because they are saving money by losing a major bill, not actually "earning" more income. Its the same as him paying off a car and not having a $400 or whatever car payment a month. They wouldn't raise the support for that. So I think its very unlikely you will get bigger checks.
