I wonder this at times. If they claim to not be hypocrites, then what are the majority of their shoes and belts made of?

  1. It depends on their reason for choosing vegetarianism.  If for health or religious reasons, they may wear leather.  But if they are animal activists, they may not.  I think it also depends on how long they have been vegetarians.  If adopting a meatless diet only recently, they may not have yet made changes to other parts of their lifestyle.

  2. I agree with LSU.It depends why they are veggies.I have lots of friends and some relatives that are vegetarians and they don';t eat meat for a religious reason. And yes they wear leather shoes and leather work boots. Now if you run into an organization that is for animal rights then they will not wear anything that comes from an animal.

  3. Well, they don't EAT anything from animals or was once an animal so yea, they do where leather.

  4. It depends how strict they are and what their reasons for being veg. are.  If they are against using any animal part for human consumption, then they get vinyl or canvass shoes, belts.
