  1. Yes!

  2. Yes.  A volcano erupts or has erupted previously.  A non-volcanic mountain has never erupted.

There are five different types of mountains and they are categorized based on the way they are formed.  Those types are:

    Dome Mountains

    Fold Mountains

    Fault-block Mountains

    Volcanic Mountains

    Plateau Mountains

As you can see one of the types of mountains is formed by a volcano.

  3. Yes, of course.

MOUNTAINS are highlands which do not erupt or spew lava. It has a pointed top which volcanoes doesn't have.

VOLCANOES are landforms which spew lava and erupt. It has a hole on the top (crater).

I conclude that volcanoes and mountains are both highlands but volcanoes have craters while mountains doesn't. :-)

I hope this resolves your question. Good Luck!! =)

  4. Yes,there are plenty of differences but the main ones are:

    1. The most obvious one is that volcanoes spew fire , lava and gases into the atmosphere while mountains do not.

2.Mountains are formed due to internal as well as external proceeses of the Earth while volcanoes are a result of internal process of pressure building up inside the Earth's crust due to magma.

  5. most mountains started out as volcano's, mountains are formed when tectonic plate boundaries push up against a land mass which causes the land to crumble up and then it pushes the land up word this forms mountains and when they are new they are most likely volcanic.
