Do volunteer firefighter get badges or some kind of Id.?

Just wondering how they prove they are who they say they are.

I just call my son the Firefighter, who told me.  Some do, some don't. It depends on the station.  And if it is state run, or country , city. etc.  Where he works they do.

I'm sure all departments have and issue badges to their members. Also, provided it's a government run department you become a government employee and get a government ID.

Whether or not an individual will carry either their badge or Govt ID is entirely up to them.

Our vollie department issues badges. Never heard of one that doesn't.
