Do wasp stings usually itch?

I got stung on the side of my big toe and it has been constanly itching all over my toe for the last 24 hours, it happened about midday on thursday, and my toe is still swollen. Any ideas of what to put on it and such.. ? Or could this be some sort of reaction?

Yes, stings usually itch and can stay swollen and itchy for days.  Try ice.
