  1. buy one that is reusable, like those bottles you see at sports stores.

plastic bottles doesnt really save plastic and they are actually quite harmful to your health if you reused them too many times

  2. No.Use a rubber waterbottle or only use one plasic one and wash it and reuse it. Or drink tap!

  3. Check out http://www.nalgene-outdoor.com/ for great REUSABLE water bottles. You really shouldn't keep and reuse those Poland Spring type bottles multiple times. They are difficult to wash properly and will develop bacterial growth. These Nalgene bottles, however, can be washed and used for years, and they are nearly unbreakable.

Read this article for more information about the environmental impact of bottled water: http://www.earth-policy.org/Updates/2006...

  4. better to use the tap water - filtered

the costs of bottled water include:

plastic bottles/transport in at least three stages in the production of  bottled water/loss of the water supply to the local people from wherever its taken/costs of recycling

that 30% come-on is just some company trying to ride the 'green wave'

  5. Buy a good quality water bottle. Filter your tap water (bottled water is really not any better and an expensive gimmick). Fill your own bottle, keep refilling it.  Save your money while keeping those bottles out of the landfills.

We put hundreds of thousands of plastic bottles in the landfills every day.  They don't degrade, just sit there leaching out petrochemicals into the ground forever.

  6. of course! because even though its 30% less plastic think about how many people buy water bottles and when you save 30 percent per each water bottle times as many americans there are that is a lot of saved plastic. dont forget to recycle! :)

  7. The shape, yeah, its totally possible. But 30% of that bottle isn't much, so its not anything major, but every bit counts, And it doesn't really matter anyway, if we recycle our plasic it won't matter how much we use, as long as we recylce!

  8. No they don't actually save that much since it takes as much energy to make #1 plastic as it does #5,  The best way to save energy & plastic (which by the way is a petroleum by-product) is to buy a couple of bottles, get a Pur Water Filter & refill them!  If you want ice water - put 'em in the freexer!!
