  3. If they have water in them, it costs more to move them (weight lowers gas mileage)

  4. Instead of recycling, reuse.  A tablespoon of bleach in your water washes and disinfects them, keeping algae from growing. We use ours over and over!  Thing green!

  5. No - glass or plastic bottles get crushed or shredded before they are washed for recycling.

  6. yes it would be better to remove the water :]

  7. Most recyclers require the caps be removed before accepting the bottles.  I guess that means they are empty or you are all wet.

  8. I'd say yes.  Use the remnants to water your plants, fill a bird bath, dump in the washing machine.  In other words, recycle the water before you recycle the bottle!
