Do waterfalls ever stop running and where do all the water come from?

Well If you knew the water cycle, it goes like this:

Oceans+lakes+other sources of water evaporate and go into the sky. In the sky, the water particles condense and get closer together forming clouds. Soon the clouds rain down on places (like lakes) that feed rivers. Rivers that pour over cliffs etc, form waterfalls. Water is on this earth and is constantly reused. So be nice to our water! It has to last us for the rest of humanity.

In other words, a waterfall will only dry up if it's sources dry up, which only happens when it stops raining...It stops raining when the atmosphere is too hot for water particles to condense into the correct type of raincloud. SO.......yeah.

the waterfall has plenty of water it runs continuosly unless the source of where the water is coming from suddenly dries out i would think the water fall would too. because most rivers and lakes dry out so most waterfalls either dry out of get frozen in winter.

if the waterfall source was the ocean it would never dry out because the ocean(sea) has a lot of water and it might be just impossible to stop it.

The answer is yes when the reerves run out. THe reserves are water from up in mountains and such, say it rains, water forms a river, river goes over cliff and voila a waterfall. The reason why most waterfalls stick aruns is becasue they have large reserves

THere are some aritfical waterfalls but these are like to ones in stores and things. These are turned o n and off. The ones out in nature and never stopeed nless the spring suppling hte water stops.

No..it doesn't stop running because it is a cycle...and the water comes from the earth of course that is the reason why life is possible here on earth because we have water. Without water life here on earth is NOT POSSIBLE.

The water comes from melting snow in the mountains and it also comes from rain, as other people have said. In Colorado, they stop running if the source of the water dries up, and they also stop running in the winter because they freeze up.
