  1. i dont have any idea but ....my favourite resto!! http://carmineristoranteitaliano.dgte.ph

  2. no, new zealand doesn't believe in "tipping"

  3. yes!

However it is an expected service charge like it is in many countries such as the US. People are paid at least a minimum wage here so the tip is generally for good service.

Many places are also aware that NZers as a whole don't really tip but put a 'tips' jar by the counter so that people can. From people I know in the service industry this is quite a good way as then people don't feel embarrassed if they can't tip much.

Suggestion: If you are going to be in a bar/pub for a few hours then always tip the bar staff at the beginning of your night. You will then never ever have a problem ordering drinks later on in the evening.

  4. OOOOONNNNLY OOOOONNNN TUESDAYS! JKJK OF COURSE.

  5. no

  6. No. It's not expected in NZ reasurants. However, a number of places try there luck and include tip jars or room to include a tip on the bottom of the bill. They may get lucky with the occassional tourist who is not sure of the protocol but 99% of New Zealanders wouldn't leave a tip.

  7. I live here in New Zealand and no we don't tip here. If you offer a tip it maybe excepted but don't be surprised if you get a friendly smile and told " No thanks it's all part of the service"
