Do we all have shallow people in our family?

Question

What do you do when a person goes back into time when you that was resolved years ago but you had not talked to them lately?

What do you do when your aunts and mother always gossip and have nothing good to say about anything or anybody?

What makes a person hog the conversation and when they are finished they are ready to go?

1. Been there. They speak their mind and get it done with.

2. my grandmother always has bad things to say about people. and we confront her about it. we don't let things bug us for the rest of our lives... that's my family.

Im a closet L*****n and I have to listen to my religious brother continually talking all the trash of the day about homosexual people. That hurts.

I don't think that there is anything that you can do to change these people, you can try to ignore all these negative things or if it bothers you to an extreme, ignore the people.  Self centered people are usually fairly stubborn and there is nothing that you can do that will make them realize that they are egocentric, so just be yourself around them and try to make light of the situation.
