  1. whats the difference between fact and truth?

  2. We can only hope.

  3. You don't need to learn anything except how to stay alive. Your spirit and soul have an adjenda you will follow so you can choose and learn from experiences. Your free will choices bring you back to Heaven more evolved or not. Like when Jesus said to build up your treasures in heaven.

Like do unto others as you would have done unto you and Love your neighbor as yourself and Love God with all your heart and soul.

See you already know that! Now go from there if you want.

    Rev. TomCat

  4. It depends on which side of the fence you are on.

  5. The human race needs to learn!  My question to you what kind of specie of human kind are you and what kind are you refering to?

  6. Well the thing is about this issue is that most people don't really think. They feel about things, this is even encouraged by the media. They ask questions like how do you feel about this issue? To think it to put things like other's opinions and emotions aside. To mentally examine what is true about a matter.

  7. Lies can be facts and the truth can be a non fact, in order to be a fact something must be provable by observation, measurement, reproducibility, Truth does not always lend itself to measure.

Rhetoric may or may not be fact, truth, or hype.

I know this is risking not getting a best answer but this observation is not ironic.

We are not all stupid. Lots of people understand the differance.

  8. I think we're all responsible to learn how to be discerning.  But that takes work, and most of us would rather p**s away our time on Yahoo Answers.

  9. Facts and the truth does not need rhetoric and hype to find it's way!

Things built on false levels are the ones usually pushed by some seen or unseen agenda to promote a common view among a select group or culture!

For instance if a magician could really disappear why does he need a stage with distracting lights, cute girls or animals to distract your eyes from him!

  10. I know the difference.

Our government is filled with rhetoric and hype.  Those who run the government have no clue what is fact and truth.

  11. Rhetoric is a word often misused.  It was actually one of the seven liberal arts taught at University in the middle ages.  It is the art of speaking persuasively.  That people have misused it to the point where it almost always refers to negative propaganda, and exhaggerating if not outright lying, saddens me.

Facts are bit data.  By themselves, they are nothing.  In terms of history there are at least ten billion facts per day.  We have to place them in some sort of order of priority in order to makes sense of them and to not cause ourselves to suffer from sensory overload.  Truth is what you build on the facts that you'vd decided are most important.

What is truth?" Pilate asked Jesus.  He spins on his heels, implying that his question was its own answer.  But Jesus doesn't contradict him.  He does not prevent pilate from leaving by calling out an answer.

What is truth?  When we, as a speices, learn that answer, I suspect that we'll be another species entirely; maybe Homo sapiens sapiens sapiens.

  12. I dunno, I think all the praise for The Dark Knight wasn't hype. It was the truth. DON'T DENY IT! YOU KNOW DEEP DOWN IN YOUR HEART THAT IT'S TRUE!
