  1. What's this project?  What's your question even?

What's your goal, and what's your budget?

Know that the sky's the limit when talking about constructing a true, dedicated home theater room.  It's not unusual to be talking about $100k, $150k or more (that includes construction, special materials, heavy drapes for the walls, lighting, equipment, seating etc.)

Projectors are usually only recommended for dedicated home theaters and rooms with no windows (or at least, windows you can completely darken)  This is because projectors are not very bright, but compensate by being relatively inexpensive while throwing 100" images on the wall.

If you don't have a huge chunk of money to drop on a home theater all at once, one thing you might consider doing is just getting a modest LCD TV for now, then start buying your audio system.  Finally, relocate the LCD TV to another room, and put in your projector and screen.

Buy in pieces.  This way you can choose the components you really like.  The normal order would be to buy a receiver and front speakers, then the subwoofer, then the rear and surround speakers and finally the center speaker.

Be sure when buying the receiver it has enough inputs to handle your future setup.  Also, don't be afraid to splurge on the front speakers.  They'll be doing most of the work, and a good set of speakers should last you a long, long time.
