  1. Often yes, but not all the time. Sometimes we simply want more of what we already have. We have a considerable leaning towards quantity as well!

  2. I think that depends on who we are, and where we are on the maturity ladder.  Sometimes when we're younger, with less life experience, we tend to long for the opposite of what we have.  But it's been my pleasure to learn that as we mature we are more and more able to be content with the hand we're dealt.

  3. I don't think it that we desire it, but it is ingrained in us to do so.  Because, this is the way we learn a concept to the fullest extent.  We cannot learn everything involved in the act of love, until we experience the opposite - hate.  And only then, can we understand how precious and valuable love is in our lives.

Many people believe opposites as being two different entities. They are actually one in form, but occur on different ends.  And this is why we must learn both sides to understand it fully.  So, it is not that we desire the opposite, but we desire to know all there is about the dual qualities to form our own opinion of what works best in our own lives.

  4. Many times we do...  most times no...

  5. Sexually, yes.

  6. you only desire the opposite of what you have if what you have is what you hate. you don't desire the opposite of what you have if what you have is what you love.

we all desire to capture what we love but don't yet have in our lives, to hold onto what things we love and already have in our lives, to rid of the things we hate but unfortunately possess in our lives, and to avoid the things we hate and thankfully don't possess in our lives.

  7. Often, because of greed and curiosity, we do.
