No not Orton, definitely not Grossman, but i was thinking about how Caleb Hanie played, and he played more than great, for playing just two possessions he carried the Bears for scores in both of the drives.. first drive by him was a touchdown, and the next was a field goal.. I've also seen him pass through that game, and he seems to be a really smart and talented quarterback.. do you think he can have a shot at being the Bears Quarterback for this year?..

  1. No, the bears haven't had a great qb in years and with our injury stricken o-line we don't have much of a chance.

  2. Sadly I don't know if he has a shot or not but you're right he showed a lot of potential! I think he should at least be second string behind....grossman...i dunno. were slightly lacking quarterbacks.

    go bears.

  3. No not with Lovie as our coach. him and Rex share this special bond and Lovie will probably put Rex at 2nd string and and Orton at 1st string and Hanie at 3rd.

  4. Didnt see the game but seriously the bears should go out and get Pennington before somebody else does.....your team needs a good solid veteran QB that can take care of the football.....

  5. He could be a scrambler!!! he moved out there wonderfully last night!! All night my friend was sayin they probally wont keep him.... until he saw him play!!!!  WOW! kudos to him!  now do we just need a new QB COACH???????

  6. Man...oh....man....that is a good question. I have been a die hard Bear fan for 40 years. They have had only one good QB in 40 years and this was Jim McMahon. I didn't see Caleb Hanie yesterday unfortunately but Orton is definitely a better QB than Grossman is. I am still wondering why the Bears didn't sign Colt Brennan to a contract as he would have been better than both these guys. However, the bright spot is that they finally have a good running back in "Forte" and they finally got rid of their sh*tty two receivers and brought in some new ones. At least they have two good running backs and two good receivers and a good defense. Now, in terms of QB's, we will just have to sit back and wait and see....

  7. can u say 2-14 and drafting tebow or daniel next year

  8. A lot of guys like Hanie come in late in preseason games and play well against defenders that will be bagging groceries and pumping gas in a month. Hanie could be one of those guys.

That said, the two "established" guys the Bears have on the roster have done more bad than good. So Hanie might have a chance to show his talents against better players if only by default.

  9. with Grossman and Orton at QB ahead of you, anyone has a shot at being the starting QB

  10. NO

  11. I watched the game and Hanie def. showed to be better than what I thought he was, but I don't think so.

In the future maybe, but this year it will be Rex or Kyle.

It wouldn't look good to change it now. It's just the truth.

I personally am a Rex fan and I think he can do very well provided the weapons.

  12. Vinny Testaverde is waiting for a call from the Bears,he's way better than what they got right now
