Do we get charge to use the bluetooth connection?

i juss got this phone and i decided to transfter some pictues from my old phone to this one using bluetooth but it ended up being message received. So i was just wondering is we get charge dto use the bluetooth, because all other phones are free to use bluetooth.

However, if you are sending a picture from one phone to another you are using a special service provided by your phone company that lets you send text and picture messages and depending on the plan you have you will get charged per picture sent.
