  1. All equal. Even the earliest Languages (Chinese) evolved over time.

    New Language:

Old English, Middle English, Modern English.

    Primitive language which evolved:

Ancient Chinese, Classic Chinese, Modern Chinese.

  2. All are pretty much equal, because even the so-called "primitive" languages are quite complex. In fact, there are some ancient languages that, if they were used today, few people would want to use them! They would start out by writing the first line forward, then the second line backwards, then the next line forwards, then the next line backwards.

Another one would have no spaces between words, but every time two words connected, they would change the last letter of the last word! It could get quite confusing.

Even counting systems were more complex....today, we use "base 10" for our numbering system. In ancient Babylon, they used a "base 6" system, and if you don't think that's difficult....

  3. For some reason I'm having trouble understanding what you're asking. As you asking if there are languages that are, for all intensive purposes, "extinct"? Then, yes. With pretty much any language, there are "old" and "new". If you watch a movie or read a book that takes place in, for instance, the seventeenth century England--the language would not compare much to today's "English".
