  1. Even young humans don't *need* cows milk.  If we needed milk, we would all be still breastfeeding.  Cows milk is not made for humans, it's made for calves.

  2. Cows milk is meant for baby cows not humans.  It is only good for you because of the calcium but you can get calcium from plenty of other sources.  I am a vegan so I don't drink milk.  Dairy cows are treated so humanely so I won't ever drink milk.  I get my calcium from rice milk which is delicious and very healthy.  It is fine for you to give up milk but just make sure that you are getting enough calcium.

  3. Cows milk is ment to feed a baby cow. We are the only species in the world that drinks milk from a different species (other than cats, but that is because of us). And we are also the only species in the world that drinks milk AFTER infancy. We don't need milk when we're older which is why a lot of middle-aged people turn lactose intolerant.

  4. no you don't need milk....you can get the same calcium requirements from yogurt, cheese, and other such dairy products...but remember, these are made with milk....there are a lot of things that are made with milk so be prepared to give those up too and get ready to eat a lot of calcium supplements

  5. Who cares whether we need it or not.  I like it.  We have many things in our life that we do not need but sure is nice to have.

  6. One of the main reasons to drink milk when you're older is because of the calcium. However, lots of people are lactose intolerant, so by giving up milk it won't be bad for you, you just need to make sure you're getting enough calcium (supplements).

  7. calcium is in milk, but no you do not have milk. But you do need calcium.

  8. not only milk we need milk for it calcium and also we need also veggies for vitamin D to make sure that calcium will attach to the bones :)

  9. milk is good for your bones .

    it makes them stronger

  10. Nope, you don't need it at all. The milk you need when young is not cow's milk. Cow's milk is the same thing as breast milk... for cows. You don't need it.

  11. The only milk we ever need is our own mothers' breast milk.  Everything else people believe about milk is propaganda from the dairy industry's powerful government lobby.

  12. No, you don't need cows' milk at any point in your life unless you're a baby cow, in which case, we have a miracle on our hands.  When you're a baby, your mom produces milk for you, and you eventually wean yourself by your second birthday.  Except for the timelines, this is true of all mammals: Their mothers produce milk for them, and eventually they wean themselves off mom's milk and learn how to obtain their own food.

As for calcium, studies have shown that drinking milk actually increases the likelihood of osteoporosis.  The excess protein causes you to LOSE calcium.  And this is true of all dairy products, especially cheese, which is concentrated, coagulated milk.

If you want something to drink with your cookies, try soy milk.  If you like ice cream, there are soy ice creams, rice ice creams, and even a brand of coconut milk ice creams.  Whole Soy & Company makes vegan soygurt,

And if animal rights is an issue, you should know that the sons of dairy cows become veal calves.  That's the reason I went vegan.

  13. The jury is out but many people believe that it's not as important as many people think, especially if you consider how much calcium we can get from dark green, leafy veggies and the fact that only Scandinavians are naturally NOT lactose intolerant.

Also consider that humans are the only species that drink from another species - household cats don't count because they would never actively seek cows milk if humans didn't give it to them.

  14. Without arguing the ETHICAL issue, i saying this...

Milk is good. Milk is designed for her own babies, not for other species. I  would rather suggest human milk is much appropriate than any perfect food, with balanced nutrition and all hormones that you need is inside the human milk. Women care most her health, therefore her milk is ideal for all.

There is no real danger of manufacturing women milk for supply. If CODE OF ETHICS is not a issue, the world would agree to this point of view one day.

  15. Actually, adults mammals are not meant to drink milk.  Babies produce an enzyme called lactase, which is used to digest milk.  When they become adults they are unable to produce that enzyme.  However, humans have mutated and are able to continue producing lactase long after we have been weaned.

  16. The only reason I would even think milk was needed was for calcium. But I am intelligent enough to know humans can get calcium from so many other things then milk from cows! So no humans don't need milk other than when we are infants. But I still love rice milk!!

  17. what milk?  what milk do we need when we are young?

    explain that?

since cows milk is mostly inert material.

why do we need inert material in our bodies?

    ?

meat has nothing in it.. those meatatarians who come in here and troll us were brainwashed on the government bull about meat and dairy.     let them have their meat..    means they'll die faster.

cookies?  you do know what's in a cookie?  right?

    read those  labels.

    want milk?  get soy milk.

    that simple.

and learn more about your veggies:
