  2. for resident/employment visa they ll check ur blood for infectious diseases like aids / vdrl

  3. If you're applying for a work / residence visa, it's normally issued for 3 years. For it to be processed, you will need to take a medical test and obtain a health card.

A health card costs around Dhs. 300 ($82 approx) and should be renewed yearly. It can be issued at the Ministry of Health or else at a recognized private hospital.

For your employment visa you need to forward a copy of your Passport (with 1 photograph) to your sponsor. Your Entry Permit then becomes ready in 7 days and is valid for 2 months.

  4. The answer to your question is NO.

No - you dont need any sort of medical check BEFORE going to Dubai for working visa as whatever health result certificates you are carrying with you from your own country is invalid, not honored and irrelevant in Dubai.

The Dubai Municipality clinics will continue to carry out medical fitness examination and issue fitness certificates that are mandatory for getting residence and labour visas for expatriates.

This is according to a recent agreement signed between the Dubai Health Authority and Dubai Municipality.

The agreement also contradicts earlier reports that effective from July 1, only medical facilities run by the preventive medicine department at the Ministry of Health, DHA and Abu Dhabi Health Authority will be authorised to do the testing.

Expatriates are required to undergo medical tests every three years or when they change jobs to check for infectious diseases.
