Do we need more jobs than we need trees?

this is for debating.. we need affirmative and negative sides

We need jobs for short term/ trees for long term.  We need them both.  There's no debate here.

Edit: if you want a debate on this you'll need to attract extremists to the question.

That was a random question. I think that there are probably more people on earth than there are than trees (although I could easily be wrong) and the people taking care of the trees have to have the job of taking care of the trees. So I pick jobs.

This is opposite of what your looking for but that's what popped into my mind after I had read your question.

Without trees there would be no jobs.  And, without trees there would be no people.  Our oxygen is made from the process of photosynthesis.  Thus, our oxygen comes from trees.  People can survive without jobs.  However, as we continue to lose jobs we will suffer the strong divide between classes which will lead to violence.  Once the violence subsides, the population of the Earth will have dwindled to a manageable level and jobs will not be a priority.  However, breathing will always be the priority.

Forget the jobs.  But never cut down all the trees.

Have a good debate.  Oh yes, enter the debate with a wilted piece of greenery, a plant of a Brown tree limb.  Stating that this is our future if we give jobs a higher priority than trees.

No, we need more trees.  There is no way to live without trees, but we could all live with out jobs.  Seriously, we could all go back to hunter gatherer and live.  And there ARE way too many people.

I think that was one of the old Rush Limbaugh arguments about cutting down trees to make more jobs.  If it were only that simplistic.  As one of the people mentioned trees are very important to our nation and serve a purpose.
